Measuring device of transformation ratio EXPERT KT-4 is designed for fully automatic measurement of the true transformation ratio of current transformers directly at the places of their location without disconnecting and breaking of electrical circuits of electrical power accounting, etc., and without de-energizing of the operating electrical installations for the time of measurement.
It is intended for power suppliers, electrical installation and repairing companies.
EXPERT KT-4 is able to perform accurately simultaneous direct measurement of the actual mean-square values of currents in the primary and secondary circuits of its flow in the testing current transformer and its calculation of the true rate of transformation in real time.
Direct measurement of the actual mean-square values of currents allows to estimate the load mode of operation of the current transformer, correct use and selection, and the presence of deviation of the measured value of transformation ratio from the nominal transformation ratio, from the value specified on its nameplate.
Deviation of really measured value from the value specified on the nameplate more than 0.5% allows to consider incorrect use of it in a specific scheme of accounting of electrical energy. The differences in these measurements immediately point to a fault in the windings of the transformer current, which can occur for several reasons, including damage from short circuits, insulation failure, contamination and damage during transportation, the deliberate change of ratio, etc.
